Imagine your branch manager walking down the office building in shorts-suits. Don’t know what that is? Well, a suit with shorts instead of trousers. That’s the newest trend in the fashion world. You look at him and you say to yourself, “Is he sleepwalking or is he instigating me to fire him?”
You can’t really blame him, such are the “trends” these days. Understatement of sense of style in men has been prevalent for long. We traditionally expect them not to experiment with their looks or clothes or shoes. We, somehow, expect to see them in blacks or blues or grays or whites. How unfair is that? But then, a man in red pants or yellow shoes or pink shirt is not really a treat for our eyes.
Fashion houses are nowadays, coming up with trends to come to the rescue of the fashion deprived male species. But all that glamor on the ramp is not accepted well walking down the road with your friends. And what’s up with men adorning hairdos which absolutely conflict their usual look.
But then as they say, it’s not what you wear, it what you feel. You wear a simple basic white shirt tucked in a conventional pair of blue denims, and you look just perfect. Experiment too much and you end up looking confused and complicated.
No matter how good or bad an impression you put on people on regular days, the day you wear that business suit, you have no idea how well you cover up for all those days of wrong wardrobe judgment. What you need is that perfect tie and those perfectly shining shoes.
Although our fashion industry is majorly female oriented, but some brands come up with a wide range of clothes to shoes to fragrances to watches for men in as well defined a style as for women.
So, carry the right air of confidence and like Barney Stinson says, SUIT UP!
